It's really important to give the car a once-over before you drive off
in it.
If the can’t damage was there when you received the car, you could face
charges for having caused it yourself! Other standard checks, which
should
be carried out before driving an unfamiliar car, should also be adhered
to.
Make sure you check:
●the exterior of the car for minor damage, e.g. dents and scratches,
Concentrate on the most likely areas: doors and bumpers.
●the interior of the car for tears and stains-don't forget this includes
the boot!
●the brakes, headlights and indicators are functioning properly.
●the windscreen wipers, electric windows, doors and latches, radio and
heating are operating correctly.
●the fire pressures (at the nearest garage), oil and water levels are
appropriate..
●that you have the car's manual with you.
