The
International School of Collaborative Learning 北京协力国际学校
ISCL is a small, progressive school that follows a university
laboratory-school approach to education. Its curriculum, originally
based on one formulated by the Sidwell Friends School in Washington,
D.C.,
combines both US and Chinese content. It is distinguished by small class
sizes, an English and Chinese dual language academic program and a
strong China focus designed to help students profit as much as possible
from their Beijing experience. Newly arrived foreign students are put
into intensive Chinese classes. Children in the primary school are
grouped in multi-age classrooms (grade K-2, 3-4, and 5-6), while middle
and high school students are grouped by Chinese and English ability. The
school's facilities include a media center/library, theater, computer lab
and athletic fields.
